My Mom came to visit back in January for a few days, it was the first time she has come to stay with us that didn't correspond with me having a baby. So it was good to be able to do lots of fun stuff that we have never been able to do with a brand new baby.
The kids absolutely love their Grandma Karr, she can get them riled up pretty fast, and they start acting crazy. It was kind of nice to have her around, because instead of stepping on my heels following me around the house, they would follow her around the house everywhere.

One of
Desaray's friends was in the high school play, so me, my Mom, and
Dez all went to go watch him. I'm not sure what was more entertaining, watching the play or watching the awkward teenagers try to interact socially with one another. My vote is still with the awkward teenagers. I'm almost 50% sure I wasn't like that when I was a teenager.

We roasted
marshmallows and hung around the campfire one night. I got Nate this sweet fire pit for Christmas. The kids ate way to many
smores and ran around the back yard for an hour straight.

Tayla insisted on wearing her sunglasses. She claimed they were to protect her eyes from the smoke.

We decided to go to Tangled one last time, and take my Mom to go see it. It doesn't matter what movie it is, the kids love going to the movie theater's...especially to see Tangled!

One of the days while
Tayla was in school, we took Noah to the butterfly exhibit at the Houston
Museum of Natural Science. We saw lots of interesting bugs and insects, and of course butterflies.

Noah loved the butterflies. He wasn't too interested in holding them though.

He decided to tough it out and try to touch one

But freaked out when he realized he had one on his shoulder,
lol. This picture was right before he noticed it on him..seconds later he tried his hardest to get it off, while squealing.

They had a pirate
exhibit there and he was really intrigued by all the pirate guys
hangin about!

And of course we had to ride the train. Noah will never pass up a train ride. Or should I say, never stop jumping up and down saying train until he sits on it...then he's all serious.

He actually kicked my mom off his seat because he wanted to ride alone on his bench.

As much as he loves trains and makes such a fuss to ride them, he is always so serious as soon as he sits on the train and during the ride,
lol.
